  • Does the Hütte Waldzeit have running water?
    Our holiday hut in the Kitzbüheler Alpen, Hütte Waldzeit, is connected to its own water system and has warm running water. There is a shower and sink in the bathroom, as well as a sink in the kitchen, all with warm water. The water is drinkable too!
  • Does the holiday hut have heating?
    Hütte Waldzeit has heating that makes it nice and cosy in the winter months. It has an inbuilt heating system with electric heaters in each room, and there is also a log burner fire in the living room area.
  • Can the hut be reached by car?
    Hütte Waldzeit is located at approximately 670m above sea level, and can easily be reached by car. The hut is in a beautiful secluded location with no nearby neighbours, but it is not remote and cut off from the world. The beautiful town of Hopfgarten is just 5 minutes away by car or bus. There is also parking at the hut.
  • Is there a Holiday Guest Card?
    As our guests at Hütte Waldzeit, you will get the Hohe Salve Guest Card which gives you discounts to local attractions and free use of local transport. This guest card is included with your booking.
  • What does the Hohe Salve Guest Card include?
    The Hohe Salve Guest Card covers discounts on admissions to many local attractions, as well as free use of most of the local trains and buses. Use of the 4057 bus that runs from near the hut to Hopfgarten is free to use with the guest card. There are also discounts on local gondolas. For more information visit the Guest Card website here.
  • Is there internet in the hut?
    Hütte Waldzeit does have internet. However, given the forest location, it possibly isn't as strong as some of you might be used to. Hütte Waldzeit is a place for relaxation and recuperation, so try to take the opportunity to switch off from the internet and social media if you can. If you need internet, it is there for you to log on to.
  • Where is the nearest ski lift?
    The nearest ski lift to Hütte Waldzeit is just 5 minutes away, the Salvenbahn in Hopfgarten, which is part of the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser Brixental. The ski lift can either be reached by car or by ski bus. The nearest ski bus stop is just a few minutes walk from the hut.   • Are dogs allowed in the hut?
    Hütte Waldzeit is a dog-friendly accommodation and dogs are more than welcome. However, due to the size of Hütte Waldzeit, we only accept up to 2 dogs. The dog fee is €8 per dog per night. Guests need to confirm the number of dogs ahead of their stay and must ensure that the dogs do not cause damage to the hut.
  • Is there a swimming lake nearby?
    There are so many swimming opportunities and lakes near Hütte Waldzeit. Just 5 minutes from the hut is a natural swimming lake and outdoor pool, called the Salvenaland swimming area. Kelchsau is also a few minutes in the opposite direction to the Salvenaland swimming area is a hiking paradise, where you can hike to multiple mountain lakes for some exhilarating wild swimming. The rugged mountain lake of Hintersteinersee is 30 minutes away, and Tirol's largest lake, the Achensee, is also only 35 minutes drive away.
